Why does the world hate America?
Maybe part of the reason why is because the United States is spending $40 million on Bush's inauguration blowout while only forking over $35 million to aid victims of the tsunami.
Wouldn't it be swell if all those private donors who are funding Bush's inauguration got together and decided instead to send their money to Sri Lanka and India?
America isn't stingy. We're just selfish.

But fancy ballgowns and million dollar pig roasts are what make America great! Can't you see that if we spend all of our money on the inauguration, the rest of the world will cower at our imense and awesome powers of...fuck it. We suck.

Yeah, but as the fucking-shitty-powers-that-be announced we were giving $35M, the fucking-shitty-powers-that-be added that "WE" the wonderful, flawless U.S., is always first to step out there and give money to our friends in need. Yeah, let's just remind the rest of the world about what great philanthropists we are as the bodies pile up. How sad is that? Beyond sad. And yet it's so easy to spend $200B on Iraq.
